Colosseum family and kids tour tickets
Viator and GetYourGuide both sell real family-tour products for the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. Children under 18 also enter free on the official ticket itself. Here is how the two fit together.
What makes it family-friendly
These tours run as a private or small-group booking rather than a large mixed group, so pacing can slow down for kids. A live guide explains the history in plain, accessible terms rather than reading a dense self-guided plaque. If a shorter attention span is the concern, a Colosseum-only visit runs 45 to 75 minutes. The full three-site guided version runs about 3 hours, better suited to older children.

Free entry under 18
On the official ticket, admission for under-18s is free. Ages 18 to 25 pay circa EUR 2. Free does not mean no ticket. Every admission is nominative, so each child still needs their own registered ticket with a name that matches their passport or ID at the gate, even at EUR 0.
Price
The official adult base price is circa EUR 18. A private or family-tour product from Viator or GetYourGuide adds a markup for the private guide and small-group format, on top of that base admission. Children under 18 stay free even inside a booked family tour, only the guiding service is priced.
