A ramp entrance sits on the north side of the amphitheatre. From there, interior floors at the accessible level are smooth and flat, unlike the uneven stone underfoot elsewhere on site.
Elevator
An elevator reaches Level 2, the highest tier currently open to wheelchair users. From that level you can circle the full ring of the Colosseum. Higher levels and some older sections of the site stay out of reach, a real limit set by the building's age.
On-site wheelchairs
3 wheelchairs are available at the reception/security office, first come basis. They go on a first-come basis, so if you need one and are not bringing your own, plan to arrive early.
